3 Restraints = Better Design

6 TUFGrip Dual Wedge for PVC, DI, and HDPE
Designed and proven to restrain pipe 4” – 24” in diameter UL approved for 4” – 24” applications FM approved for 4” – 12” applications Collar bolts and wedges pivot providing for a stronger engagement of pipe at a lower torque(45 – 60 foot lbs) Larger inside diameter of the gland provides for easier installation on out of round pipe Allows for disassembly just like a standard mechanical joint Color coded orange for easy recognition

7 Simple Installation Steps = Less Time in the Trench
Clean socket then lubricate the pipe and gasket with joint lubricant conforming to the AWWA C111 standard. Install TUF Grip™ restraint gland and gasket. Insert gasket and pipe in the MJ socket and slide the TUFGrip™ against the face of the MJ bell. Install T bolts conforming to the AWWA C111 standard and tighten to the required torque . Hand tighten all TUFGrip™ wedge bolts until they contact the pipe. Using 180 degree or ½ turns tighten all wedge collar bolts until all bolt heads break off. This will ~ 55 ft-lbs. Once all break away nuts twist off the joint is restrained. Bi Lingual installation instruction tags are attached to each restraint.

9 Dual Wedge One Restraint for All Features :
Controlled wedge radius varies contact circumference when assembled on different type of pipe surfaces. Controlled wedge hardness to accommodate pipes with varying surface hardness. There is no washer or spacer to remove when installing restraints on different type of pipes. Rated full pressure with 2:1 safety factor for Ductile Iron, PVC C900 and C905, PVCO C909, HDPE C901/C906 and Steel pipe. One inventory for all restraining needs.
