1. Have your say About Dating and Friendship services in Warwickshire

2. It has been identified that there is a lack of ‘SAFE’ local services in Warwickshire to support people with Learning Disabilities in seeking safe Dating and Friendships. A survey took place in March 2014 and 73 individuals with Learning Disabilities were asked what they thought about current support for dating and friendships and if there is a need for a specialist service in Warwickshire

3. A service would be designed for a safe ‘Members Only’ Dating and Friendships service for people to meet and attend social events. The service will set up profiles and referencing checks to ensure safety of vulnerable groups for dating and friendships. THERE WILL BE STRICT RULES TO ENSURE SAFETY.

4. We hope to set up workshops to help with confidence building for people seeking appropriate ‘Happy and Healthy’ relationships. We will also offer advice, information and provide educational and sexual health support for individuals that would find this appropriate to them.

5. We hope to support people to develop and uphold friendships and relationships with people within their local areas in Warwickshire. We hope to plan fun events where you can meet new people and experience safe dating and friendship leisure activities in different places over the county.
