NeedsPeripherals I’m a keen photographer. I want to electronically store the photos I already have; take more photos to use on my computer; and print copies to give to my friends. scanner, digital camera, inkjet printer I like to play action games on my computer. I want to communicate with my friends when we are online so that they can see me when I talk, and play my heavy metal music without complaints from the neighbours. joystick, webcam, headphones I record talking story books for children to listen to on computer. I also illustrate them, but hate drawing with a mouse. I like to relax by watching movies. microphone, graphics tablet, DVD drive I am a professional writer, and I need to print clear copies of my books, but only in black and white. Summary There are different types of computers. These include mainframe, desktop, laptop, PDA and mobile phones. Each type of computer is suitable for different purposes. When choosing a computer it is important to ensure that the peripherals chosen with the system meet the user’s needs.
