Introducing an Opinion Would you rather live in the city or the country? In the city you can find stores, malls, restaurants, and movie theaters close by. In the country you can have horses, cows, goats, chickens and large quiet yards. I think living in the country would be the best choice.

Read an Introduction Partner Practice Take turns reading a model to your partner and underlining the features. What was your partner introducing? Show your partner the questions? Show your partner the facts? Show your partner the opinion?

Writing Practice 1. Write an introduction about school uniforms to catch your partner’s attention and get them thinking. Be sure to state your opinion. 2. Read it to your partner. 3.Ask them to underline the question and interesting facts. 4.Grade your paragraph with the rubric.
