Heroes Think of your favorite hero –Have them write the name of this hero on a sheet of typing paper. Ask each person to imagine how the hero might solve the problem or issue. –What ideas would the hero have? –What advice would the hero give? Go around table and ask people to: –Hold up the piece of paper that identifies who their hero is. –Share their thoughts about what their hero would do with the problem. –Invite others to comment. Record ideas-- Summarize and get group to identify best ideas.

Innovation: Schools Design a school that will meet the needs of 21 st century adults. Can include: building, curriculum, schedules…anything you think would meet this goal Be realistic about inequity: economics, emotional, physical, social and academic differences…you want to create a school that is inclusive yet an environment where teens will flourish, yet also be prepared to take care of themselves in the future.

How to be Innovative Each group member think of a different type of sub-group –Have them write the name of this subgroup on a sheet of typing paper. Ask each person to imagine the needs of each subgroup Come to a consensus on how innovation in school will benefit that group Ideas: Sports, Clubs, Infrastructure, Quality of Life, Programs, Schedules, Preparation for the future, etc.
