Schoology platform and Flipped student classroom technique in a Calculus course

Flipped student classroom The students generate videos explaining to their classmates some content. The videos are available to the class in the schoology platform

Challenge Students worked in collaborative teams to generate a video explaining the solution to a given problem. Teams were no larger than 4 people. A different problem was assigned to each team. A rubric was provided to the students with the criteria for the video execution. According with the rubric, students would receive extra points.

Rubric Theory (70%) Deep knowledge of the topic Creativity Presentation of the theory ( Logical sequence in steps and covers all the problem) Conclusion (clear and correct answer) Audiovisual execution (15%) Image ( in focus, clear) Audio (clear) Interesting Formal aspects (15%) Time ( more than 2 minutes and less than 3) Titles Upload to the platform
