Jeopardy Game Template This template was created because most Jeopardy games available online aim at the lowest level of Bloom’s taxonomy – that of simple recall. To increase the challenge and enable differentiation, 3 levels of questions with associated clues slides have been created. Easy questions have one clue; medium have two; the most challenging have three. There are also teacher slides (green) which provide ideas about how to use the game in a more powerful way, links to how- to information, and resources to help with the problem of the ethical use of appropriate resources. When the green slides have been deleted (as per the notes on Slide 5), the game template will be ready for your content.Bloom’s taxonomy The package is intended for colleagues as tool which can be used to create learning and review packages for individual or classroom use. Teachers can choose either to add the content into the game themselves or, as is suggested on a later slide, turn that process over to the students. Involving learners in the decisions about building the content and enhancing the presentation moves them up the taxonomy towards higher orders of thinking and puts the responsibility for review where it belongs – in their hands.

Improve student’s ability to prioritize: formulating the questions, clues and answers helps them anticipate which content is the most important. Empower: help students to value ‘growing’ their own skills. Foster teamwork: have them work in groups to plan categories and choose content. Clue: category 1 for 500 Engage in self-reflection: When the game is complete ask students how they made their decisions and how the game might be improved. Consider together how these skills apply in other areas of people’s lives.
