10
Why? We are looking to refurbish The Vineyard into a 21st Century building for the church and local community to meet and make 21 st century disciples Lovingly maintained but no major investment since the early 80s Whitfield Parish Loving Jesus – Loving each other – Loving our town
11
Why? God’s intention for his community is that we should be a place where the lost, broken and the lonely can find hope, healing and love. Our vision is to rebuild, restore and renew this building to enable us to reach and transform our town with the love of Jesus (Isaiah 61) Whitfield Parish Loving Jesus – Loving each other – Loving our town

User Group Feedback warmer building dedicated youth space more storage inc. lockable storage space downstairs building is too tired better lighting kitchen not big enough access and signage to the building not good more inviting & brighter space less noisy floors and warmer ones better toilets
13
What does the Project involve? Creation of multifunctional rooms on the ground floor for church and community use Provision of disabled access and facilities throughout the building Installation of new and more efficient heating and lighting systems for the building
14
What does the Project involve? Larger and refurbished catering kitchen Greater storage on ground and first floors First floor office space for growing parish, community and Christian organisations Dedicated youth space on the first floor Attractive, welcoming entrance & signage
15
What benefits does this Project bring? To have a facility that truly honours God and reflects His glory, welcome and hospitality to our community and church To create an improved and increased space that can be used to develop existing outreach activities such as Whitfield Breeze Café and increase our ability to host a greater range of other activities such as Alpha, Marriage Course, and partner events with the local community that involve catering.
16
What benefits does this Project bring? Improved facilities and environment for our existing church groups including our children and youth groups To improve access for all including the less able, young children and the elderly To develop a space where we can reach out and support our community in a building that is not considered ‘church’ in the same way St James’ building is
17
Benefits continued Greater opportunity to work with community groups. Examples could be groups on addiction, confidence & self- esteem, mental health, money management, dementia, music, art, children, youth, seniors and much more. These would run alongside groups already using the building e.g. Guides, Brownies, St Christopher’s Trust. These new projects would be self-funded through the group operating it.
18
Benefits continued Opportunity to work with other Christian groups needing a ‘work hub’ in the area and expand our Christian outreach into the community. We have already been approached by two groups who are investigating this An office space where our staff and volunteers can truly work as team
