2 Early Intervention Services Harrow Children’s Centres aim to play a central role in:- Reaching the most disadvantaged. Reaching identified target groups & KPI’s. Improving multi- agency working. Raising the quality of early years provision. Improving accessibility and visibility for the local community to services. Enhancing preventative and early intervention approaches. Improving the health and education of young children and their families. Early Intervention Services Holistic approach to offering support.

Key Performance Indicators include: Children’s achievement and outcomes – short and long term Reaching those most in need of support – targeting via using comprehensive data intelligence Improved parenting outcomes Health outcomes for children and their families Adult learning for families A high quality skilled staffing team Support, advice and guidance to the PVI sector Improving lives for the communities in Harrow Delivery of the Parents as First Teachers parenting programmes:

5 Early Intervention Services About Harrow’s Children’s Centres The current structure of Harrow’s Children’s Centres is developed around 3 Children’s Centre ‘Hub’ groups. These include 5 main Children’s Centres, offering Children’s Centre services, together with 11 ‘delivery points’, each of which offer a smaller range of services. A new model has been agreed and will be implemented over the next 3 months, this will be developed around 2 Children’s Centre ‘Hub’ groups. These will include 2 main Children’s Centres together with 8 ‘delivery points’, this allows Harrow Children’s Centres to meet the needs of those in the borough that are most in need of our support.

6 Early Intervention Services We intend to: Continue to provide services to a high number of children Improve targeting of services for those most in need Maintain delivery of midwifery, health visiting services Continue delivery of speech and language therapy services Offer outreach services to additional venues Increasing our current support to the private, voluntary and independent sectors Sustaining preschool provision for 2,3 and 4 year olds Increasing the number of pre-school places for vulnerable children and 2 year olds Offering opportunities to develop community-run projects Ensure that supervised contact can be provided through centres

7 Early Intervention Services Types of services: Achievement of children - gaining at least 78 points across EYFS profile with at least 6 points in each of scales for PSED and CLL. Disabled children. Percentage of children in reception year who are obese. Fathers.
