2 Home Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teachers Introduction You and your partner work for a Travel Agency that is traveling back in time to the year 2020 B.C. to Ancient Egypt. You both will arrive on the Nile River, the longest river in the world, to begin your journey. You will be able to explore all of the wonders that Egypt has to offer. Look for the Pyramids of Giza! Explore King Tut’s tomb! Learn how to write in hieroglyphics! Have fun and don’t forget to wear sunscreen because it is very hot and dry in Egypt! 3 Home Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teachers Task Travel Agents have to be familiar with the place so it’s time to do a little research. During your journey, keep a travel log of your experiences. At the end of your journey you will create a travel brochure for others to use on their trip to Ancient Egypt. Your travel brochure should include: A cover with picture A map of Egypt Three places you visited with a picture. One exciting fact about each place. A hieroglyphic secret message to decode. Discover and learn more about ancient burial tombs and who guards them!Egyptian Tomb Adventure 6. As you’ve learned, Egyptians used hieroglyphics to write. It is time to create your own Travel Brochure using the three places in Egypt that your learned about. With your partner, create your brochure to include: On the front cover: a. Add a title for your brochure. b. Add an Egyptian picture. On the inside: a. A map of Egypt b. A picture of each of the three places you explored and one interesting fact about each. c. Include information about hieroglyphics. It could be a secret message to decode. Exploring a new place can be quite exciting. The Internet is a great place to find a lot of interesting information. Navigating from different websites is easy, especially when the sites are bookmarked for you. Creating a Travel Brochure is a lot of work, but can be great fun too!
