2. What is Laparoscopic surgery?  Laparoscopic surgery also referred as Key hole surgery describes the performance of surgical procedures with the support of a video camera and many thin instruments.  The camera transmits an image of the organs inside onto a television monitor.

8. Disadvantage  High cost and technology requirement.  Special skills required for its use.  Not suitable to perform complicated surgeries.  May need secondary open surgery.

Precaution After Surgery  It is safe to resume normal activities when you feel able.  Do not drive for 24 hours or until after you have stopped your narcotic pain medicine since you will be drowsy. If your stomach is sore enough to limit motion of your legs, wait to drive until the soreness subsides.
