Reading Children learn to read by having many opportunities to read collectively and independently. We read every day in class. Please read to your child daily at home. Students will make books in class and use the books for reading at school and at home. Your child keeps a poetry notebook containing poems and songs learned in class. We use the notebook to provide additional reading practice.
