Week 8 MAJOR PROJECT!!!! Worth 400 points No page requirement, these tend to be very long in order to cover all the material required You are creating an exercise prescription for yourself

Major Project – Week 8 Exercise Part 1. Commitment to the Program Using the information identified during Unit 4, identify your current level of motivation and dedication towards the program you will undertake for this project. This part should include a summary of the findings and your commitment to the exercise program. Lastly, it should identify how you define functional fitness for yourself. Part 2. Summary of Assessments (Must include all Components of Fitness and the new goals based on those findings) a. Muscular Strength b. Muscular Endurance c. Cardio Respiratory Fitness d. Flexibility e. Body Composition f. Functional Fitness based on your own definition

Major Project – Week 8 Exercise Part 3. Fitness Program per each Category. Please include how you would conduct the assessment of your goals along the way. a. Muscular Strength b. Muscular Endurance c. Cardio Respiratory Fitness d. Flexibility e. Body Composition f. Functional Fitness based on your own definition Part 4. Weekly Schedule that includes all fitness and work activities. (Use a MS Word Table) Part 5. Identify the challenges that can interfere with your progress in this program. By each challenge, identify a strategy to defeat it. Part 6. Closing Remarks about the experience of developing this program.

Week 9 Project Visit a fitness facility and choose an area of interest to evaluate. Write a description of that program and evaluate their offerings. Suggested choices are, component of fitness that you need to work on the most or your area of interest for future work.
