2. 1) Portal Login Page Open a web browser and type the URL (http://portal.unist.ac.kr) in the web browser’s address box.http://portal.unist.ac.kr In order to login, you need to install several ActiveX controls. To install all Active X controls at a time, click the “ActiveX installation” button. http://portal.unist.ac.kr/student 1

3. 2) ActiveX Installation Click the “ActiveX installation” button, and you can see pop-up windows telling the process of installation. Currently, UNIST portal site allows you to use Fire Fox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. 2

4. 3) Portal Login Page Open a new Internet Explorer window and type the address http://portal.unist.ac.kr.http://portal.unist.ac.kr Select the ‘ENGLISH’ radio button. To create an account, click the “ID Registration” button. 3

5. Select the ‘agree’ checkbox to agree and click “ID Registration” button. Type your name and Resident Number and click ‘OK’ * Your Resident number is your birthday YYMMDD- xxxxxxx (in case you’ve been given a resident number, type your own) * Type your Lastname+Firstname with no space in the name box After typing your ID, you are required to press the “Duplicate Check” button. The following usernames are not recommended: unist, public, webmaster, web, and any usernames that can be offensive. 4) ID Registration 4
