Whose in charge? – Infants: Suraya Ali, George Henson, Gregg Hamblen –Juniors: Megan Thomas, Luke Davis, Kerys Stinton

Composting Continued… What we would like you to do: –Put your used fruit and vegetable left-overs into a compost bin. There is a new grey bucket on each yard. –Put rubbish and wrappers into normal bins, not the composting bins, unfortunately we cannot compost plastic!
7
Recycling paper Why we recycle paper Because you can use it again We recycle paper to protect the living things from extinction due to global warming, and to preserve our rainforest. We also do it to stop greenhouse gases entering the ozone layer.
8
What paper do we recycle? We recycle white paper in the blue bins. We recycle mixed coloured paper in the square cardboard bins. We recycle cardboard, which is collected when requested. We also recycle ink cartridges please send them in and give them and send them to an Eco Committee member.
9
When and do we collect the recycled paper? When your recycling bin is empty tell your class teacher, they will then tell Mr Lopez who will tell the Eco Committee members in charge. Whose in charge? Juniors: Toby Savage, Josh Haywood, Jack Summerhill, James Tillett

Recycling water bottles We are going to start recycling water bottles again We need your help! Can you help us recycle the water bottles
12
Why we recycle water bottles We recycle water bottles because we can re-use them again. We can start re-using them instead of putting them in man holes which can become looking like mountains.
13
Can you help us recycle water bottles! We need your help! So can you help us? We need you to be on our team!!
14
How we recycle water bottles If you could keep any used or unwanted water bottles in a bag/container in your class. Every Friday afternoon break we will come and collect your water bottles that you don’t want any more. We take the water bottles to the recycling bin by the entrance of the school.
15
Recycling Mobile Phones We are doing a power point all about Mobile phone recycling. Let us tell you about an exiting new initiative that we have organised to help recycle phones and raise money for the school and you guys!
16
What to do Basically, if you have an old mobile phone that’s not being used and going to waste, we would like to recycle it. We are looking to collect any kind of mobile phone even the really old ones and will even be able to accept phones which are broken, damaged or don’t work!!!
17
What do we get for them? You will not believe this guys but for each phone we, as a school family will receive. Our target is to collect 100 phones or more.
18
Just remember to Take out the SIM card (you can use that in another phone!) Don’t include the charger. You could: –Collect from your family, asking for old or broken phones. –Collect from your neighbours explaining it is for the raising of funds for the school.
19
Special collection bags will be handed out by your class teacher! Happy collecting guys!
