Students won’t need to talk at length but should feel comfortable and confident to take on questions regarding their chosen topics. This activity can also be used in pair work as a timed exercise. Additionally this activity can be used as a supplemental activity in accordance with your syllabus.

4. Talk a Lot B1 – B2 Involve the Speaking Success! element to teach students everyday spoken English to improve understanding and fluency. This activity can act as a tool for engaging in conversation in a more casual and frequent context. Vocabulary sections can be designed to set speaking rules for students to use certain target vocabulary when answering their ideas on a topic. An interview/survey exercise can also work well with this activity which helps introducing speaking more prominently, and to encourage students to speak to other members of the class. Alternatively, students can partner-up in order to help improve your student’s speaking and confidence levels.
