Objective: Restore Coastal Prairies Area is divided into units based on topography and existing roads Most units would be treated through mastication and “pulling” of trees and brush initially Broadcast burning would follow mechanical treatments Planting of native grasses, as necessary, would follow burns No-burn buffer on eastern edge of area adjacent to private lands

Broadcast Burning Following mechanical treatment, units can be burned during cool, moist times of the year Burning reduces trees and brush and promotes grasses and forbs native to coastal prairie ecosystems
