BUSINESS Bachelor of Business Administration The B.B.A. degree with a major in general business is intended for those students who desire a broad-based business curriculum. The Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) offers students a broad overview of business necessary to succeed within the industry A degree in business administration can be an all-access pass to a wide range of careers like banking and finance, manufacturing, product development, human resources, IT management and business analysis.

Social work Social work students are prepared to work, in schools, hospitals, and social service agencies. Hospitals, Lutheran Social Services, the Salvation army, YM/YWCA's, State and Regional Departments of Protective Services, Child Welfare Programs----the list of places where social workers are employed is almost endless. Students learn to work with individuals and their families, with small groups or even in policy or city, county or state legislation development and implementation.

COMPUTER SCIENCE The goal of the undergraduate degree program is to prepare the student for a wide variety of applications found within the diverse computer science field. The graduates will acquire a strong technical foundation normally required for careers involving computer science engineering. The students are also provided with opportunities to interact and learn from eminent scientists and engineers from outside the University

Education Make a Difference...Be a Teacher! Texas A&M University- Commerce offers a broad selection of educator certification programs approved by the Texas Education Agency. Students may earn their initial teaching certificate as an undergraduate or a graduate.

Counseling and Psychology The Department of Psychology, Counseling and Special Education offers an undergraduate minor in Counseling as well as the Master of Science, Master of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. These graduate programs prepare students for a variety of professional work settings, including community agencies, schools, student affairs, practice in higher education, and private practice.
