2. Objective Students will graph linear inequalities in two variables.

4. Solution An ordered pair (x, y) of a linear inequality in two variables if the inequality is true when the values of x and y are substituted into the inequality.

8. Test Point Test (0, 0) if the graph does not pass through the origin. – If the point makes a true statement, shade that side of the boundary. – If the point makes a false statement, shade the opposite side of the boundary as the point tested.
