Women’s Suffrage Women used WWI to campaign their right to vote Their cause was supported by President Wilson who saw their contribution to the war time and helped passed the 19 th Amendment which allowed women the right to vote SC did not ratify the 19 th Amendment. Luckily, other states did and women did receive the right to vote.

This did not last and the price of cotton/tobacco fel This did not last and the price of cotton/tobacco fell Boll Weevil: an insect that attacked the cotton crop Farmers began growing other crops (Peaches) Droughts, erosion and soil depletion led to an outmigration of SC farmers
