2. Read-in “Seuss-A-Bration” Wednesday, March 2 nd, 2016 Each year we join schools across the country for the annual Read Across America celebration to honor the life of beloved author, Dr. Seuss. This year, GES will celebrate with a “Read-In” Day. Students may wear pajamas to school and bring items such as stuffed animals, blankets and pillows to get “comfy” during reading time. The Media Center will host a Seuss Trivia contest, and give away door prizes throughout the day. If you would be interested in providing a special “Seuss-y” snack or craft or would be willing to be a guest reader for your child’s class on this day, feel free to contact your child’s teacher. With your help, we can make this a fun “seuss- a-bration” our Gators will remember for years to come. Any Help Would Be Appreciated! We are excited about starting a V.I.P. (Very Inventive Play) area in our Media Center to introduce S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) concepts to our Gators. The items listed below would be a great help in getting our centers up and running. As you begin “spring cleaning,” and you come across any of these items you would like to get rid of, we’d love to take them off your hands!
