1 All Necessary Information About Common Law Admission Test Common Law Admission Test

2 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs  Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent/Higher Secondary School.  Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC and ST candidates)  Minimum 20 years of age (SC/ST and (PWD) candidates should be 22 years)  Submit necessary documents.

3 Undergraduate Law Programs Exam Pattern English including Comprehension: 40 Marks General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 50 Marks Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 20 Marks Legal Aptitude: 50 Marks Logical Reasoning: 40 Marks Total: 200 Marks

4 Different Subject Areas  Based on comprehension passages and grammar.  To understand a passage’s theme, meanings of words used etc.  Understanding of correct grammatical usage. English including Comprehension General Knowledge and Current Affairs  Static general knowledge is tested.  Current affairs to evaluate his/her general awareness.

5 Mathematics This section evaluates a candidate’s elementary mathematics knowledge. Questions in this section is of Class 10 level.

6 Legal Aptitude  Interest towards study of law, problem solving ability and research aptitude.  Legal propositions (described in paper).  Set of facts to proposition has to be applied.  Understand these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.

7 Logical Reasoning  Logical links, identify patterns and rectify illogical arguments.  Logical sequences, analogies, syllogisms etc.  Will not test visual reasoning of a candidate.

8 Eligibility Criteria for Post Grade Law Programs  LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B.  With not less than 55% marks in aggregate.  Candidates need to submit their marks card securing at least 55% for General/50% for SC & ST categories.  Eligible to appear in the CLAT test.  Required cut-off marks of 55% for General/50% for SC & ST categories.
