The 5 Attributes of Great Leaders AttributesDescription Self-Awareness Leads with a clear sense of identity, a clear sense of purpose, and a distinct, consistent way of interacting with others Bravery Willing to take measured risk based on data and personal beliefs for the betterment of the organization and/or the people in it Kindness Exhibits and can receive empathy and compassion, and integrates the needs of the business with the needs of team members and colleagues Innovation Brings a creative, daring and productive approach to solving organizational challenges Inspiration Shares excitement and enthusiasm for the organization’s vision in a way that unites and aligns people

What to do can be taught, rules and processes can be developed BUT… How to do it is already there, but tricky to unleash Set the tone and the example Don’t teach – unleash (give permission) Get out of the way (power), and hold people accountable (responsibility)!

Your role as a steward of great leadership Simple shifts= major impact Meditate for 10 mins before work (and tell a friend) Start integrating the language of the vision/values Begin to consider the full experience of a peer, boss, or direct report as you interact with them Be patient and forgiving with yourself and others Take a walk What else??
