Loops - facilitate logistics Convenient Starting Points – Rabat for Routes 1 & 2 (Malta), Mgarr ferry port for route 3 (Gozo) Safety - avoided primary roads wherever possible Gradient – kept gradient safe and close to SIBIT requirements when viable Accommodate all levels Focused in less frequented areas, balancing historical attractions, countryside and villages. Distances are medium (25-45 km) Appropriate for mountain bikes Food, drink and other facilities along the way

5 ROUTE 1 - Malta South West
This route offers the chance to cycle across years of history! The ride takes you past numerous historical sites spanning from megalithic structures such as Hagar Qim to Verdala Castle and Buskett from the knights era. The ride carries on through the village cores of Qrendi, Mqabba and Siggiewi where can one admire how these villages little changed over hundreds of years . This trip through time is complemented with great views of Dingli Cliffs, Blue Grotto and the south of Malta from Girgenti Valley.

7 ROUTE 2 - Malta North West
A cycling journey that provides an opportunity to discover the rural aspect and natural landscape of the idyllic northwest part of Malta. Starting by the Roman Villa and the medieval city of Mdina, it goes through no less than 8 villages, including renowned ones such as Rabat, Dingli and Mosta, and other hamlets like Bahrija, Bidnija and Mgarr. The route passes along the spectacular Dingli Cliffs, where one enjoys the great views of the rugged northwest coast, and continuing along winding country roads hugged by endless rubble walls through the fertile valley of Mgarr and Bidnija. Other attractions are Skorba Temples and Mosta Dome. There is the option to visit the beaches of Golden Bay, Gnejna and Ghajn Tuffieha.

9 ROUTE 3 - Gozo Embark on your odyssey with this route to discover the charms that identify Gozo as the island of Calypso! Experience this while cycling through 14 villages which all provide their own character and attractions. From the dominant fortified Citadel and its museums, Ggantija Temples and Ta Kola Windmill in Xaghra, to the charm of the little piazza of San Lawrenz. And in between, the cyclist will savour the continuous stunning views such as Gozo channel and Comino on the way to Qala, Qbajjar salt pans, Wied il-Mielah natural window, sea cliffs past Wied il-Ghasri and Ramla Bay, home of the nymph Calypso herself!
