5 Diversity & Inclusion Compasses
A Compass is a collective group of key stakeholders focused on setting direction and guiding strategies and efforts Specifically, D&I Compasses will drive the following objectives: Ensure collaboration between ERGs, professional associations, community partnerships, economic development, talent management and business imperatives Build strategies around inclusion, recognition, growth and development including mentoring and sponsorship Ensure employer of choice status through active engagement around recruitment, partnerships and recognitions Benchmark TVA against national best practices to identify areas of opportunity Enhance opportunities to promote economic development in the Valley to include supplier diversity Identify ways to drive TVA-wide organic engagement and diversity initiatives Establish measurements to monitor compass effectiveness and maturity

7 Spectrum – Our Purpose The purpose is to engage, empower, and educate TVA’s workforce on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) issues relevant to our community in the Tennessee Valley.

8 How Does Spectrum Support YOU?
We exist to improve the workplace environment for LGBT employees by providing advocacy and support. We exist to end discrimination and to ensure equal civil rights of all LGBT employees at TVA. Spectrum wants to extend TVA’s goal to recruit, retain, and develop the most talented candidates by providing an inclusive environment for all current and future employees.

9 Spectrum – Our Objectives
To provide an opportunity for all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) employees and Allies to meet and connect To sponsor activities and programs which provide opportunities for members of the LGBT community to educate, promote interests, build unity, and further engage TVA’s employees understanding of diversity in the workplace To facilitate discussions of current issues, interests concerning the LGBT community and other relevant topics of diversity at TVA To present a visible lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender presence at the Tennessee Valley Authority To provide a forum for building networks & strengthening TVA’s diversity and inclusion values Provide an avenue for questions or concerns regarding potential harassment or benefit questions

14 Community Engagement Overview
Each Regional Area will partner/adopt a local effort (Ex. Chattanooga Zoo, Chattanooga Cares) Dates: Varies throughout FY16 by Region Activities: Projects at the non-profit location, drives hosted on site throughout the year, collaborations, partnerships, sponsorships Responsible committee – Recruit/Attract Aligns with TVA’s Corporate Citizenship Activities Investing in a better quality of life Supporting a vibrant cultural life Securing a prosperous future Giving generously to those in need

15 Recruiting Partnership with Human Resources
Overview Partnering with Human Resources to support recruitment affairs and events across the Valley Reaching out to LGBT groups at partner/recruiting schools Coordinate efforts with other ERGs Dates: Varies throughout FY16 Responsible committee – Recruit/Attract

16 Social and Networking Events
Overview Onsite and offsite events hosted to allow networking opportunities with fellow employees. Events sponsored for Pride month (June) Knoxville Pride June 18 Huntsville Pride June 18 Dates: Varies throughout FY16 Responsible committee – Retain
