People’s individual differences in perception, personality and learning Factors that influence motivation Group and team working Your own study skills and development We are all different individuals. We look different, have different experiences and backgrounds and react to situations in different ways. This module explores some of these differences from a personal perspective and also the impact these differences have on organisations You will explore

7 Task 1:University Life 1. What do you think will be different about learning in University? 2. What do you think will be easy/difficult about studying? 3. What makes a ‘good’ student? 4. What makes a ‘good’ lecturer? Reflect on your experience from school or college. Discuss with a group of colleagues then record your ideas on a poster

16 Simple Time Management Tips Identify time wasters –be on your guard Make a list of what you have to do as a group and individually. Make a plan Delegate tasks to members of group Communicate clearly so there are no misunderstandings Plan meetings, control interruptions Monitor progress against the plan
