Eriez unique interpole magnet circuit creates a deep field (gauss) and significantly better gradient (F.I.) as you move toward the magnet. While gauss is a measure of flux density at some point in space, gradient is a more accurate measure of magnet strength. See next slide for an illustration of this point.
