3. Ante-Natal Care Booking Case finding: VCT/determining HIV status HIV+ women determine gestation At 28 weeks start AZT + send blood for CD4 count. CD4 count > 200 continue AZT CD4 count < 200 refer to Dr to start ART HIV- woman ANC care & retest in 3 months

4. AT ONSET OF LABOUR Identify mother in PMTCT programme Stat single dose Naviripine (NVP) DELIVERY Mother – regular checkups and healthy lifestyle Infant: Single dose NVP and AZT for 7 days Administer AZT NB If mother received AZT or ART for less than 4 week or only NVP in labour or no PMTCT treatment AZT is given to the infant for 28days
