Disability Issues Advisory Board 2011-2012 Year-End Report DIAB continued to monitor the progress of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), an effort championed by your leadership on the 2010 UDL legislation and the participation of Dr. William Hite on the UDL Task Force that resulted in the recent UDL regulations proposed by MSDE. As UDL advances cognitive access and flexibility in classrooms, the work of helping to ensure physical access in our classrooms will be even more important. Legislation
