10 A day in the life of a General Counsel…  It’s Monday morning and you’re just arriving at your office.  You bump into FD and CDD in the lift.  FD wants summary of risks and how they’re managed for the Audit Cttee.  CDD planning to sell a division and wants list of significant litigation.  Then your secretary reminds you that you have your quarterly update conference calls with the divisional Heads of Legal who report to you, starting at 2pm.  Finally, your received a call from a Divisional FD complaining about local legal team being too slow.  How do you quickly get all the information you need?

11 A day in the life of a junior in- house lawyer…  You’ve just been told that a colleague will be off work on extended sick leave and you are to pick up their litigation workload.  You normally do advertising and promotions work and know very little about litigation.  You then receive a call from a Marketing Manager asking you to advise on a media campaign for an innovative new product launch.  You’re aware that, following a recent product recall, your General Counsel has previously highlighted that all new product launches are to be considered as high risk.
