A day in the life of a General Counsel… It’s Monday morning and you’re just arriving at your office. You bump into FD and CDD in the lift. FD wants summary of risks and how they’re managed for the Audit Cttee. CDD planning to sell a division and wants list of significant litigation. Then your secretary reminds you that you have your quarterly update conference calls with the divisional Heads of Legal who report to you, starting at 2pm. Finally, your received a call from a Divisional FD complaining about local legal team being too slow. How do you quickly get all the information you need?

A day in the life of a junior in- house lawyer… You’ve just been told that a colleague will be off work on extended sick leave and you are to pick up their litigation workload. You normally do advertising and promotions work and know very little about litigation. You then receive a call from a Marketing Manager asking you to advise on a media campaign for an innovative new product launch. You’re aware that, following a recent product recall, your General Counsel has previously highlighted that all new product launches are to be considered as high risk.
