3. The Little Blue penguin lives in Australia. It eats small fish and krill. The Little Blue penguin is 13 inches tall and weighs 2 pounds. Its nest is made in a burrow, cave, or under bushes. 4. Magellanic Penguin by Audrey A Magellanic penguin eats small fish. It lives in a lot of places. It makes underground burrows. The penguin is 24 to 28 inches tall and weighs 11 pounds. It has a white “c” stripe on its face and a backwards “c “ too.

5. The Erect-Crested Penguin by Brian and Jackson The Erect-Crested penguin lives in New Zealand. It eats krill, fish and squid. The size of it is 25 inches and 6 to 8 pounds. It has yellow eyebrows, a black body, and a white chest. They lay two eggs.

6. Humboldt Penguin by Brison The Humboldt penguin lives around the west coast of South America. They eat anchovies, herring, smelt and crustaceans. They are 24 inches tall. They are 10 pounds. There are 2,500 to 9,999. They are black, white, and a little pink and red. They can drink salt and fresh water.

7. Gentoo Penguin by Drake The Gentoo lives in Antarctica. It eats fish, squid, and crustaceans. It’s 2 ½ feet tall. It has a white stripe on its eye. The Gentoo weighs 12 pounds. It takes 450 dives a day!

8. Emperor Penguin by Eleanor and Mason The Emperor Penguin lives in Antarctica. It is 40 inches tall. There are about 4000 left. They eat fish, krill, and squid. They put their eggs in their brood pouch. It has a yellow neck. Its face is all black and it has black feet. It weighs about 80 pounds.

9. Fiordland Penguin by Erin The Fiordland penguin lives in the New Zealand temperate rainforest. It eats fish and squid. There is a thick yellow stripe running above the eye. There are about 5,000 to 6,000 adults. Their predators are New Zealand fur seals.

10. African Penguin by Cameron and Garrett The African penguin lives on the south coast of Africa. There are spots on the penguin’s chest and no two spot patterns are the same. The African penguin is also called the Black Footed penguin. Kelp gulls eat their eggs. The African penguin eats krill, crab and fish. It is 18 inches tall and weighs 7 pounds. It is eaten by sharks and fur seals.

14. The Chinstrap Penguin by Linh and Sydney The Chinstrap penguin lives in Antarctica. They are 27 inches tall. There are more than 1,000,000 left. They make their nests in high rocky places. They eat krill. The largest colony lives on a volcano on Deception Island. They have very short beaks.

15. Galapagos Penguin by Chase and Luke The Galapagos penguin lives on the Galapagos Islands. It is nineteen inches tall. It has red eyes. It eats sardines, squid, and mullet. Its predators are sharks, seals, hawks, and rats.

16. Royal Penguin by Mallory and Geri Royal penguins live on beaches. They eat krill and fish. There are about 850,000 left. They weigh about 5.3 kilograms. Their colors are yellow, black, white, pink, red and orange. They put their nest in colonies that are in the open.
