3. 1.Introduction to RCARO 1.1 What is Regional Cooperative Agreement (RCA)? The RCA is an inter-governmental agreement for East Asia & Pacific region, under the auspices of the IAEA, in which the Government Parties undertake, in co-operation with each other and with the IAEA to promote and co-ordinate co-operative research, development (R&D) and training projects in nuclear science and technology through their appropriate national institutes. The RCA was started in 1972 and with the participation of 17 Member States.

13. 3.Lessons Learned from RCARO Understanding about the operation of RCARO for the enhancement of RCA. Understood importance meetings and conferences related to the RCA actives. Once the temp staff were selected they should be informed in well advance of the nature of assignment to be done by them at RCARO so that they can come with well preparation. RCARO should have a annual plan on activities to be assigned to its Temp Staff.
