3 Description A brief description of service to be metered or the form meter used. Example (Sentinel 9S LP Cycle 2)

4 Items such as Demand type, TOU, DST, Bi-Directional, Totalized registers are selected in this section. Device Operation

5 Time of Use A Time of Use schedule as per your companies rate structure is selected.

6 Quantity Selection Quantities such as watts delivered, watts received, coincident peaking register and power factor are selected in this section.

7 Display Selection Display format as well as Normal, Alternate and Test registers are set up.

8 Normal and Test Mode Operation Items such as Demand interval length, sub interval lengths, cold load pickup as well as Test Mode intervals are set in this section.

9 Load Profile Load Profile interval lengths, memory size and pulse weights are assigned in this section.

10 Self Read Configuration Times and dates for the meter to read and/or reset itself are set in this section. This corresponds to the companies billing cycle. Example: read and reset on 18 th each month

11 I/O Configuration Input or Output (KYZ) are selected. Contact type (A or C) as well as weights are assigned in this section.

12 Option Boards Option Boards such as R300 (ERT), Ethernet, Modem or various other types of communication are selected and configured here.

13 Event Setup Preset events outside normal operation sets are selected to give diagnostic codes. Example: voltage sags, reveres power flow or no current flow

14 Service Configuration The meter service type is selected manually or can be set to auto identify.

15 Final steps Assign a file name and Id number then save.
