Helpful things to remember. If no horizontal line intersects the graph of a function more than once, the function has an inverse. If the point (a, b) is on the graph of f, then the point (b, a) is on the graph of the inverse function. The graph of the inverse is a reflection of the graph of f about the line y = x. The inverse is not the same as the reciprocal
