2 History and development TOKOZ a. s. was founded in 1920. To begin with, the company manufactured small ironmongery goods and was amongst the first to mass produce various types padlocks. The company was privatised at the end of 1998 and is now a privately owned limited-liability company. TOKOZ a.s. has two main production activities. The first follows the long established tradition represented by the manufacture of padlocks, special locking mechanisms and other more specific building components and furniture fittings. The second is the manufacture of customised components and assemblies for multinational industry companies including parts for the automotive industry.
