1 Sub Artic People Northern Ojibwa, Beaver, Mountain, Western Cree, Central Cree, Eastern Cree, Naskapi, Beothuk, Lake Winnipeg Saulteaux

2  The land was poor and often swampy. Land

3  Winters were long and harsh.  -forty in the winter  +thirty in the summer. Climate

4  There were Fish, Wolves, Dogs, moose and caribou. Animals

5  Wild berries, tripe, dandelions, moss, and marigold. Plants

6  Wild berries and fish. They hunt by foot and in winter by snow shoes. Food

7  Walking, Toboggan's, Dogs. Transportation

8  They like soft moccasins, leggings, shirt and coats. Clothing

9  They use bow and arrows, traps, snares, dead falls, nets. Tools

10  Small easy to build up and down.  Tipis and lean-tos Houses

11 Women sewed and prepared meat for drying. Men did most of the hunting and made snow shoes and canoes. The band worked together to build caribou surrounds and large fish nets. Several bands working together formed regional bands. Work
