What is Title I, Part A? Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act provides financial assistance to schools and districts with high percentages of children from low-income families. Title I, Part A funds are provided to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Sec. 1118 of Title I, Part A Sec. 1118 of Title I, Part A mandates Parental Involvement requirements.

Elements of Parental Involvement Parents play an integral role in assisting their child's learning; Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child's education at school; Parents are full partners in their child's education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child.
