8 Ransomware A type of malware that encrypts files and drives on a system which then cannot be decrypted unless a ransom is paid; for example, Cryptolocker It is what cost Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital $17K to recover from If Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital had been using the appropriate cloud replication system similar to what Navisite and CTN’s other cyber security partners use, they could have simply rolled back their cloud server to a point minutes before the ransomware got in and they would have been back in business with only a minimal disruption to business and finances
