Invite Reviewers
24
Make Recommendation It needs at least two reviewers ’ comments to make recommendation. When two reviewers’ comments are completely opposite, it’s better to invite a third reviewer. As Prof. Iain Taylor said, we do not vote based on the numbers of “accept” when deciding whether a MS can be accepted! We should read the MS and the reviewers’ comments carefully and make judgment.
25
It needs at least two reviewers ’ comments to make recommendation. So the ED needs to check the MS status frequently and repeat the above steps if needed.
26
Make recommendation The ED makes recommendation and forward to the EEIC. After the EEIC makes decision, the ED sends letters to inform the authors the decision with the comments or revision suggestions attached.
27
The editor possibly need to send the revised MS to the reviewers for further checking after the major revision (if the editors think it ’ s necessary or the reviewers have suggested). The editor will make a thorough editing on the paper after it ’ s formally accepted.
28
You may play more than one roles in the ScholarOne Manuscript system of JMS. You can return to the main board to enter other centers such as Reviewer Center to accomplish other tasks.
