3 Indignant Ex. Sentence: “Johnny was so indignant he nearly squeaked.” ADJECTIVE Definition: angered at something unjust or wrong

4 Premonition Ex. Sentence: “But this church gave me a kind of creepy feeling. What do you call it? Premonition?” NOUN Definition: a feeling of evil to come

5 Elude Ex. Sentence: “I was trying to find the meaning the poet had in mind, but it eluded me.” VERB Definition: escape, either physically or mentally

6 Bewildered Ex. Sentence: “His eyes were closed, but when the door shut behind me he opened them, and I suddenly wondered if my own eyes looked as feverish and bewildered as his.” ADJECTIVE Definition: confused, overwhelmed
