The plan. The construction of the Upper Middle Road (UMR) Grade Separation, located at the Canadian National Railway crossing west of Appleby Line, is proceeding on schedule. The initial phase which included the road and rail detour construction opened October 6, 2008. The contractor is now working on the rail bridge foundations and piers as well as beginning the excavation for Upper Middle Road to pass under the bridge.
