3 DESIGN: Community-based case-control study. CASE SELECTION: Selected participants and the mothers of participants enrolled in oral immunotherapy (OIT) studies at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy Research at the Stanford University, School of Medicine. Allergic status based upon: (1) Skin Prick Test (2) Specific IgE Test (3) Oral Food Challenge CONTROL SELECTION: Selected non-allergic members of the surrounding community that live in the same geographic area as selected cases.
