Getting Your I-20

What Kind of I-20 Do I Need? Your program or OPT ended on or before August 2011 You’ve been out of the US for more than 5 months You were a registered student or on OPT in Fall 2011 & your current school will electronically transfer your I-20 Initial Attendance I-20Transfer I-20

What is the Difference? The earliest you can enter the US is 30 days before 1/17/2012 You must pay the SEVIS fee You can enter the US anytime between programs No SEVIS fee required BIO will issue updated I-20 after registration Initial Attendance I-20Transfer I-20
