4 In600, Pope Gregory I commissions a hospital in Jerusalem to treat Christian pilgrims to Eretz Israel

7 In 608, Jews attack Byzantium under the promise of returning to Eretz Israel In 614, Persians invade Jerusalem, destroy churches and expel Jews. Jews are forbidden to reside within a three mile radius of Jerusalem.
