BANSHEE I IN 1964 THE XP-833 PROJECT BEGAN NAMING IT THE BANSHEE I. JOHN DELOREAN CALLED THIS CAR THE “MUSTANG FIGHTER”. 2 DRIVABLE PROTOTYPES WERE EVER BUILT. SAME ENGINE AS THE CORVETTE. DIDN’T SIT WELL WITH GM. WOULD HAVE BEEN FASTER AND LIGHTER. GM CANCELLED AND STOPPED THE PROGRAM.
