2 Suggestions for Utilizing Technology to Jazz Up Your Classroom Common Core State Standards are challenging teachers to look at the curriculum in a new and innovative way. As a result, schools are struggling with ways in which to present students with more higher order thinking activities that promote problem solving and deeper thought. Technology provides teachers with an avenue to address many of these issues.

3 Technology can be a tool to assist your students to begin working with content in a more meaningful and deeper way. Start with what makes you comfortable and then gradually move up from there at a pace that makes you comfortable.

4 Ways to Incorporate Technology into your Lessons QR Codes Video Audio Recordings Collaborative Tools

5 How to create a Traveling Museum in Your Classroom,,, Look for ways to bring in a variety of topics and information on the content that you are studying. Incorporate audio and video into the research as well as reading passages. This not only provides students of different learning styles with activities that fit their needs, but it also forces the student to conduct research in a variety of ways! Find online resources from real museums. Think of an innovative way to display! Present the content in a way that the students will have to synthesize the knowledge without it being just “reading”. Provide guidance in some way through note taking guides or suggested questions.
