5 Thermal characteristic of 8”x8”MCP (40 micron) in vacuum: MCP process with chem-2 +ALO SEE Y-axis log scale 8”x8” MCP resistance is very sensitive to the temperature Question: @ 200C which conduction dominate? a) Resistive coating= 25M -100K b) MCP glass itself= 4.4G -100K

Thermal characteristic of 8”x8”MCP (40 micron) : 6 T for 33mm 20micron MCP = -0.033 T for 8”x8”mm 40micron MCP = -0.056 Small Temperature range Very sensitive to temperature

Summary 7 8”x8” MCPs are very sensitive to atmosphere, ALD conditions and the temperature compare to 33mm MCPs 25M 40micron 8”x8” MCP is available for testing. (one of the corner is broken during transfer but still good to go!!) Need more 8”x8” MCPs with NiCr electrodes Next plan: ALD on 2x 20 micron 8”x8” MCPs (received form UCB) MCP Quality ?
