Problem being addressed –Fraudsters file in advance of the actual taxpayer resulting in lost government dollars ($5.2M in payments to fraudulent identities in 2013 per GAO) –Individuals are left with a project to remedy the situation with state and federal tax agencies plus the knowledge that their identity information is at risk –Traditional agency means of safeguarding the process are under pressure Problem: Taxpayers are experiencing alarming instances in which fraudsters are stealing their tax refunds at the federal and state level. Our Solution: Lock and secure all aspects of individuals’ interaction with tax agencies with the MorphoTrust eID; built upon the trust of the US driver license. An opt-in service that taxpayers pro-actively employ to protect their tax IDs and refunds, by preempting fraudster attack.
