IMPACT SAMR Cover Sheet Task OverviewLearning Objective(s)Suggested Technology Create an animation representing a word problem with the Tellagami app, then share in a BlackBoard forum to be peer-evaluated. Students will create product using technology and discuss best practices to solve a multistep inequality. Blackboard Tellagami Collaborate to solve multistep inequalities. Collaborate to explain the application of solving multistep inequalities to word problems. Blackboard Google Sheets Solve inequalities using Socrative.Insert the learning objective(s) from the “A” task card here. Socrative Learn how to solve inequalities using the Blackboard website to download worksheets. Solve multistep inequalities Blackboard MS Word Louisiana Math Standard (include description): A-CED.A.1, A-REI.B.3 Solving Multi-Step Inequalities Teacher: Shiv Kumar MODIFICATION Technology allows for significant task redesign.. REDEFINITION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable. AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement. SUBSTITUTION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with no real change. transformation enhancement

Solving Multistep Inequalities 1.Login to Blackboard. 2.Go to Algebra I tab and select the current week. 3.Click on the “Solving Multistep Inequalities” folder. 4.Download classwork 1 as word document. 5.Show your work on the worksheet and save it as follows: period number_last name and attach it to Blackboard assignment. Learn how to solve inequalities using the Blackboard website to download worksheets. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): Solve multistep inequalities S SUBSTITUTION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with no real change. 1. 3f + 9 < 21 2. 4n  3 ≥ 105 3. 33y  3 ≤ 84. 2 + 2p >  17 5. 12 > 60  6r 6.  5 ≤ 11 + 4j Solve each inequality. Check your solutions.

Solving Multistep Inequalities 1.Go to the following link : https://b.socrative.com/login/student/ and enter the room # written on the board. 2.Enter your nickname as assigned by the teacher. 3.Complete the activity started by the teacher. 4.Some questions are short answer type, so write your answer in the box provided. 5.You will be provided immediate feedback for multiple choice questions. Solve inequalities using Socrative. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): Solve multistep inequalities A AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement.

Solving Multistep Inequalities 1.Open the shared Google Sheet created by your teacher for your group posted on Blackboard. 2.One member of your group can write properties of addition and subtraction while solving an inequality. 3.One person can write properties of multiplication and division. 4.One member can explain the effect of multiplying or dividing by a negative number on an inequality. 5.Each person will create a thread the discussion board created on Blackboard on this topic to discuss your views on real life use of solving inequalities. 6.Explain and respond to at least two persons about what sign of inequality is used for “at least” and “at most” while writing an inequality for a word problem. Collaborate to solve multistep inequalities. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): Collaborate to explain the application of solving multistep inequalities to word problems. M MODIFICATION Technology allows for significant task redesign.

Solving Multistep Inequalities 1.Create a Tellagami animation which explains the steps of solving multistep inequalities. 2.Share your Tellagami with whole class using airplay. 3.To create a Tellagami, open the app on an iPad and click “create.” 4.After selecting the cartoon character, record the steps of solving multistep inequalities. 5.Click save and share to save on the iPad’s camera roll. 6.Share your Tellagami with the class via Airplay. 7.Go to Blackboard and create a thread in the discussion board created about steps of solving multistep inequalities having variables on both sides. 8.Discuss about which method you prefer :- 1. bringing variables on left side first and numbers on other side of the inequality 2. dealing with the numbers first and keeping variables on right side. 9.Critique the post of at least two more members. 10.Take your discussion to a higher level and respond to each other. Create an animation representing a word problem with the Tellagami app, then share in a BlackBoard forum to be peer-evaluated. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): Students will create product using technology and discuss best practices to solve a multistep inequality. R REDEFINITION Technology allows new tasks That would not be possible Without it
