2. Luke 2:37 [Anna] never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Prayer is WORSHIP.

Matthew 15:8 8 ”‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’” Psalm 19:14 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Prayer is a matter of LIPS (words) AND HEARTS.

Prayer is the FRUIT OF A LIVING FAITH

ASK Ephesians 3:12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. CONFIDENTLY 1 John 3:1 1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. AS GOD’S DEAR CHILDREN

WE CAN PRAY A PRAYER OUT OF A BOOK Matthew 6:9-13 9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ”‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ OR A PRAYER WE HAVE MEMORIZED

WE CAN ASK FOR ANYTHING IN JESUS’ NAME 1 Timothy 2:1 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone WITH THANKS

8. WE CAN ASK FOR ANYTHING IN JESUS’ NAME WITH THANKS Ephesians 6:18 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. AT ANY TIME 1 Timothy 2:8 I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. IN ANY PLACE
